A video game inspires “MEMORIES” with a mix of items I wished I had growing up. Growing up in my home country, most of my memories are filled with longing, wanting what most of the other children had and experienced. This work is a game of my memories as a child. Although some memories are happy, most of the ones at home were sad and lonely for me. My childhood memories trigger the bad ones that I thought I’d forgotten. This “game” dives into what was forgotten and what I could change for a different outcome. The look was achieved by using Photoshop and photographing inside a dollhouse. The lack of color in the images/game is black and white to help emphasize the forgotten memories.  I’ve achieved the look of the game to be realistic and have the object be interactive enough that the viewer can make a connection. As for the chosen object, the Nintendo DSi, made of cardboard, was chosen because I remembered how my brother was gifted a Nintendo, and I wasn’t allowed to play with it as much and wished the color of it was different. Overall, it is as if the game's character dived into their inner self only to find it full of memories that were supposed to be forgotten.
